This is a piece of Alaskan Yellow Cedar that I carved by hand. Inspired by knotwork, working a particular 2D pattern I saw in a calendar into 3D. It is basically 15 great circles, in icosahedron/dodecahedron symetry. It is an interlaced lattice of a dodecahedron, an icosahedron and a rhombic triacontahedron. It’s about 4 1/2 inches in diameter.
