Tree of Life

Inspired by the traditional Celtic motif, this is my dodecahedral interpretation of the Tree of Life.  Fueled from the singularity at the center (the tree’s trunk) the past and the future (the trees’ roots and branches) entwine around each other, weaving the present (the dodecahedron that encompasses the whole).  In general the energy flow is toroidal, but the carving was made from a dodecahedron, which traditionally represents the aether.  Or as I think of it, simply space-time, the whole of existence.  But you know, who knows?  It’s just beautiful, that’s why I carved it. img_0588img_0590 img_0592
